Anaerobic Digester

An anaerobic digester or biodigester consists in a space without oxygen (anaerobic) where bacteria called anaerobic bacteria have been introduced. What’s so special? Anaerobic bacteria cannot live in the presence of oxygen, hence the space where they are introduced must be hermetically closed, so that this compound cannot enter. In an anaerobic digester, commonly anaerobic bacteria live underwater, the water displaces the oxygen and thus these bacteria do not interact with this compound.

But this is not the most special feature of anaerobic bacteria. The real potential of these bacteria is that they generate renewable energy from organic matter. Upon coming into contact with organic matter, such as the skin of a fruit or animal manure, they begin to “eat” this matter and to transform it into methane (CH4) and carbon dioxide (CO2), that is, into biogas, a source of clean energy.

It is the same process that occurs in a stomach, bacteria transform matter into energy. In this case, into clean energy in the form of biogas, a renewable gas composed of 65% methane and 35% carbon dioxide. And what happens with the material that does not become biogas? Compounds that are not transformed into methane or carbon dioxide, such as potassium from a banana or calcium from a bone, remain floating in the form of macro and micro nutrients inside the anaerobic digester, forming part of the biofertilizer that remains in the digester after the bacteria have finished this anaerobic digestion.

Anaerobic digestion is then the biological process on which anaerobic digester or biodigester are based. The anaerobic bacteria are introduced into the biodigester in the form of cow dung. These bacteria are fed on kitchen scraps, garden scraps, or human or animal manure, and as by-products they generate biogas and biofertilizer. These unique bacteria enable us to close the cycle of organic waste while reducing methane emissions into the atmosphere.

FOR WHOM IS IT?

Families, neighbors communities, orchards, restaurants, ranchers and farmers. But also companies and associations that want to manage their organic waste in a more sustainable, responsible and ecological way.

Did you know that a family of even 3 people generates enough biogas from their organic remains to cover their cooking needs? Guaranteed, with the Domestic Biodigester 2 you can generate up to 3 hours of cooking per day.

The Domestic Biodigester 2 is aimed at families who want to reduce their energy costs, gain self-sufficiency and save on the monthly gas or electricity bill.

We are official distributors of HomeBiogas, a company specialized in the manufacture of biodigesters for homes, with more than 6 years of experience with which we share a vision of the future and the motivation to improve the environment from the person.

if a family generates enough biogas to cook, imagine how much biogas we could generate if we had more waste. We could not only cook, but also heat water for showers or even generate electricity with a biogas generator.

The Small Business Biodigester 4 is perfect for small restaurants, orchards, small farmers, ecovillages, breweries, neighborhood communities and schools. With the Small Business Biodigester 4 you can generate up to 6 hours of cooking per day, save on gas or electricity bills and generate organic fertilizer, all this while taking care of the environment. To find out more about other possible uses of biogas, such as in a water heater or generator, do not hesitate to write to us.

SATISFIED CUSTOMERS

“What I value most is that I have managed to fulfill the concerns I had, apart from generating gas, I can uso fertilizer and have avoid installing a septic tank. I have fulfilled the home project that I wanted.”
“I am very fond of clean energy. I like to be self-sufficient. I already have solar and photovoltaic panels and I needed to have my own gas. It gives me peace of mind not to depend on others, because of what might happen”.
“When I have guests at the country house and they see the biodigester, they are blown away. It seems magical to them that by throwing in organic remains I can produce my own gas.”
“The assembly was much easier than I thought. The manual is very well explained. It works perfectly. Once you have decided, you do it with great desire. If you already recycle, the next step is to acquire the biodigester”
